01 — The shop
Shingar House is a counter in the Golden Cloth Market, Amritsar — stalls 32 and 33, on the side where the light comes in late in the afternoon.
Online, we're starting with bags — totes, satchels, backpacks and evening bags, each one photographed on our own shelves in every colour we have. The rest of the counter follows, one department at a time.
The shop has always run on the same thing — someone behind the counter who will tell you honestly when something is wrong for you. That is harder to put online than a product photo, which is why we will still get on a video call with you.

Curated, not cluttered
We stock what we would hand to our own family. If a design sits on the shelf because nobody it suits has walked in, it comes off the shelf.

The counter, at a distance
Book a video call and someone from the shop holds the bag up to the camera and opens it so you can see inside. Thirty minutes, and the fee comes off your order.
